Arsenal have been handed a boost in their reported bid to sign Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli.

Romagnoli was thought to be closing in on a move to AC Milan, but TalkSport claim that negotiations have stalled - which could leave the way clear for the Gunners to make a move.

Reports in Italy suggest AC Milan tabled a £20m bid for the 20-year-old but Roma are holding out for £25m.
