Samsung Gear S lands on AT&T and Sprint on November 7

T-Mobile US announced just few hours ago it will be carrying the Samsung Gear S SIM-enabled smartwatch. It is offering it with a 2-year contract on $0 upfront and 24 payments of $14.58. The monthly plan costs just $5 and includes unlimited talks, texts and data.

AT&T and Sprint has just announced their pricing and availability details. AT&T will offer you the Samsung Gear S for $199.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T's suggests add the Gear S to a Mobile Share plan for $10 per month.
Sprint's take on the pricing is similar to T-Mobile's - the Samsung Gear S will cost you $0 upfront on Sprint plus 24 payments of $16 (a total of $384). The best thing you can do on Sprint is also to add the Gear S on a Family Share Plan for $10 per month.
Samsung Gear S will become available on both AT&T and Sprint on November 7.
Samsung has announced Verizon will be also launching a dedicated Gear S offer and it will kick off the same week ending on November 9. You will be also able to purchase Samsung Gear S at the Samsung Experience Shops in Best Buy among other retailers. The available colors are Black and White.

Latest model of iconic hatchback is revealed as biggest yet and comes with iPad connector

First built in 1959, it was known as a revolutionary small car - but now, it appears that for Mini, bigger is definitely better.
The wraps today came off the new Mini, which enjoys so many hi-tech gadgets that it has grown in size to be the biggest-ever version of Britain’s best-loved small car.
The new Mini is two and a half feet longer, seven inches wider and two inches taller than the original Mini of 1959.
It had its world premiere at the Oxford factory which will build it with the help of 1,000 new robots installed as part of a major £750million investment that helps preserve 5,500 jobs at the plant.
The car was unveiled before VIP guests including Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin who said Mini had undergone ‘a remarkable renaissance’ under German parent company BMW.
New Mini: The car, which is due to go on sale in spring 2014 and will be built in Oxford, is 10cm longer than the current Mini and 77cm longer than the original Mini

The Kuga with a kick: Ray Massey reviews the latest Ford

Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi 163PS                             Price as driven: £29,240

GOOD

  • A distinctive, yet handsome, contemporary, family-friendly crossover. Smart without being too flash. The model I drove had the delightfully vibrant looking metallic paint called Ginger Ale.
  • Frugal but willing two-litre TDC i diesel engine develops 163bhp and is linked to an all-wheel-drive ‘power-shift auto’ six-speed automatic gearbox which helps keep driving fun and fuel bills down. It also propels the car from rest to 62 mph in 10.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 122 mph.

The BMW i3 may well have killer looks but....

BMW i3                                                     ★★★★★

There is no phrase more used and abused in the world today than the three mischievous little words ‘save the planet’.
The planet will be fine without any help from us. It may end up hotter, colder, wetter or drier, depending on how much more we beat it up, but that won’t stop it being here long after we’ve gone and taken the poor polar bears and elephants down with us.
Just click on Google images of Chernobyl to see how adept Mother Earth is at reclaiming what is rightly hers.
The BMW i3 is super fast and corners like she's on rails, which you'd never guess from her shape
The BMW i3 is super fast and corners like she's on rails, which you'd never guess from her shape
It is with incredulity, therefore, that I stare at the various recycling bins I’m urged to separate my rubbish into, both at home and at work, on a daily basis.
I’ve no doubt such bother helps a teeny-weeny bit, but surely the real problem is at source rather than what we do with all the needless nonsense after it’s been produced.
It’s simple – we need to stop making things now. Especially cars. And especially cars that claim to be in some way good for the environment, which is total and utter tosh.
The more an industry shouts about what it’s doing in the eco-friendly department, the more guilt I suspect it shoulders while doing exactly the opposite.

Futuristic Lexus NX 300h is quite a package says RAY MASSEY

The new, futuristic-looking Lexus NX 300h hybrid sports utility vehicle hits Britain's roads this month.
More than 800 advance orders have been taken for the mid-sized, compact, petrol-electric crossover, costing from £29,495 for the entry level S version with front-wheel drive and up to £42,995 for the fully loaded, all-wheel-drive Premier trim variant.
Five equipment grades are on offer. They're creating a buzz and I've already had people ask whether they should opt to buy one before considering its archrival, the Range Rover Evoque, another radically styled vehicle.
The new Lexus features wireless charging for smart phones, a panoramic view monitor, head-up display and blind spot monitor

The Lexus NX will be the first model to feature Lexus's 'pre-crash' safety system and adaptive cruise control as standard.
Add wireless charging for smart phones, a panoramic view monitor, head-up display and blind spot monitor and it's quite a package.
Standard features of the S include 17in alloy wheels, hill assist control and speed-sensitive automatic door locking. Comfort and gadget levels increase through the trim levels.

Kia's third generation Sorrento brings a refreshing sense of reality

Amid all the fashion models and concept cars at the Paris motor show, Kia's new, third-generation Sorrento sports utility vehicle, brought a refreshing sense of reality.
Designed for families on the move who need space, the seven-seater promises improved ride, handling and crash safety and a higher quality interior and design. Kia says it features a higher level of sophistication than the present model.
The Korean company's European design team, based in Frankfurt, is behind the move upmarket. A spokesman says: 'A higher proportion of soft-touch materials and leather creates a modern luxury feel to the cabin and premium vehicle ambience.' Buyers will be offered a menu of safety technologies, including a lane departure warning system, which audibly alerts drivers who stray from the chosen lane without using indicators.

Mercedes-Benz recalls 8,000 brand new C-Class cars in the UK over steering fault

Mercedes-Benz is recalling more than 8,000 of its new executive C-class saloons in the UK because of a steering-wheel fault which safety officials say could affect control of the car in ‘extreme’ cases.
It is part of a world-wide recall of 28,000 of the brand new cars which only went on sale in Britain in June priced at between £26,855 and £38,120.
Production of the car began in January ahead of this summer’s first deliveries. Those sold in the UK are built at Mercedes-Benz’s factory in South Africa but the problem also affects those built in Germany.

The problem lies with the steering column coupling lock - a form of protective ‘sleeve’ which binds in the steering column to the steering rack at its base.
The German luxury car-maker is writing to customers and asking them to take their cars for a 30 minute fix to ‘click’ the steering lock sleeve back into place.

Jaguar Land Rover unveils new XE sport at the Paris Motor Show

One advantage of the Paris Motor Show clashing with the city's fashion week is that you just can't move for supermodels — both on and off the automotive catwalk.
Claudia Schiffer over here one minute, Britain's Rosie Huntington-Whiteley over there the next.
And then there are the cars. Although Paris chic was all across the metropolis, the Brits did their best to upstage their Gallic hosts by sticking the British boot in — Wellingtons of course.

The flying car that really could be coming to a road (and sky) near you

It has been a sci-fi dream for decades - a car that can simply take to the air to avoid traffic.
However, a Slovakian firm has said it has finally cracked the problem.
The AeroMobil can fly 430 miles on a tank of petrol - and when its wings fold down, it'll fit into a normal parking space.
Aeromobil is a 'flying car' that can fit in a standard parking space, and could both take off and land at any airport in the world.

Samsung Galaxy K zoom review: Zoom-zoom

The Galaxy K zoom speeds down right onto our review track, ready to take on any cameraphone contender. This speedster is equipped with a 10x optical zoom and OIS and if you were to see only its back, you would hardly recognize you are staring at an Android smartphone with a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen on the other side.

The original Galaxy Camera didn't have phone functionality and was way too big for comfort. The Galaxy S4 zoom's specs were too low-end to deserve the "Galaxy S" badge. The Galaxy K zoom is reasonably sized (about as big as a Galaxy S4, except thicker and heavier) and offers solid midrange specs.

It's all-white for Cheryl Cole, in white Stella McCartney

Cheryl Cole hits another fashion high at the X Factor auditions here. Well, she had to look amazing didn't she, she was in her home town after all! And this white Stella McCartney dress certainly was a good choice!
When you're sat behind a judging desk all day, you want the top half of the dress to have something to it, and this one offered plenty.

Not only is it finished with an all-over snake effect, making it perfect for camera, but the roll neck and the big hoop sleeves give it some subtle elegance and modern edginess. What's more, when she turns around you'll notice the lovely tie detail at the neck, another lovely feature.
Cheryl is a fan of Stella McCartney's designs, wearing something from the British designer only last week at another round of X Factor auditions. Her dresses are always cut to flatter the female body, yet remain cool and sophisticated.
