Manchester City are waiting for Real Madrid playmaker Iscoto give them nod before they try to bring him to the Etihad once again, according to Mundo Deportivo.
City were close to signing the Spain midfielder in the summer of 2013 but eventually lost out to Madrid, who snapped him up from Malaga.
Despite impressing on a regular basis, Isco was frequently left out of Real Madrid’s starting line-up when everyone was fit under previous coach Carlo Ancelotti and he fears a repeat situation under the Italian’s replacement Rafa Benitez.
According to Mundo Deportivo, City’s manager Manuel Pellegrini, director of football Txiki Begiristain and chief executive Ferran Soriano are monitoring Isco’s situation closely and are waiting for him to indicate that he wants to leave the Bernabeu for the Etihad.
