Real Madrid remain interested in Valencia defenders Nicolas Otamendi and Shkodran Mustafi, reports AS.

Otamendi, the Argentina international, and Mustafi, a German World Cup winner, have both been linked with moves to Madrid this summer as the Bernabeu giants have faced uncertainty over the future of Sergio Ramos.
It now looks as though Ramos will stay at the club and pen a new long-term deal, but Madrid still retain an interest in both Valencia centre-backs just in case Ramos’ situation is not sorted out.
Otamendi, who is also on Manchester United’s wishlist, wants to leave Valencia, while Mustafi is keen to stay put. According to AS, Madrid asked super-agent Jorge Mendes about Otamendi and were told they would have to stump up €50m to sign him from Valencia.
