Barcelona defender Dani Alves hopes Pedro remains with the club, but says he will respect his decision if he decides to leave.

Manchester United are interested in the Spain international and, speaking ahead of Barca’s European Super Cup match this evening, Alves said: “In the end if you interfere in other people’s decisions you make it more difficult to make the decisions.

“If I could choose I would prefer Pedro to stay here with us for many years, but it is his call. He should do what is in his heart, if he stays we will be happy but if he goes somewhere else we will respect his decision, that happens in football.”
