Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini didn't give too much away when asked on the Monday Night Football about any new signings before the end of the transfer window.
"Well, we'll see. It's not easy," he said. "There are a lot of clubs with money to buy players and all the same clubs go for the same players. (These) players are in top clubs and nobody wants to sell them.
"We are trying to have a strong squad. We'll see at the end of August how strong we can be."
