Xiaomi Mi Note has its innards revealed days ahead of launch

The Xiaomi Mi Note was only announced a couple of days ago and yet the industrious folks at MyFixGuide have managed to get their hands on one and disassemble it. The lesser of Xiaomi’s latest phablet duo has been torn down to pieces, revealing interesting facts about the hardware.

The 3D curved glass back panel is the initial staple, which is overcome using guitar picks, dexterity and patience. It is then followed by the usual affair of tiny screws, dual adhesive tape and miniature connectors.

What stands out is the main camera assembly, where the engineers have managed to fit the 13MP sensor and the optically stabilized lens in a measly 5.08mm of thickness.

Further digging reveals the Snapdragon 801 SoC, Samsung-made 3GB of RAM, Toshiba-branded 16GB of storage and high-end audio circuitry.
