With the increasing desire among youth, especially
students in Nigeria tertiary institutions, to have access to faster and
affordable connectivity, through voice and data services, MTN has repackaged
its iPulse offering to match the popular yearnings among the population. This is
seen as an improvement of the Pulse introduced a couple of years ago as it
gives special priority to ‘iPulse Zones’, in other words, all campuses in
Nigeria.
According to Bayo Adekanmbi, the Chief Marketing Officer of
the telecommunications and ICT company, “through the iPulse, MTN has now made
it easier for students in the tertiary institutions to access data and call services
at the most affordable price ever on any network in the country”.
“At 11kobo per second to any network in Nigeria, after
the first minute, and N2 SMS rate in addition to free megabytes and access to
social networking apps including Facebook, students will be able to derive
maximum satisfaction from every recharge within the campus environment”, he
added.
Consequently, university campuses in all regions in the
country will now be optimised on the network coverage to give students
increased access to better connectivity which will support academic and social
activities within the school environment.
The MTN iPulse offering was introduced three years ago to
facilitate seamless connectivity among the youth community. It has now been
repackaged to meet current trends, especially the demand for easy-on-the-pocket
data connectivity to surf the internet and keep pace with global advancement in
technology and maintain relevance on the social media. To make it easier for
the students, the subscription code still remains the same. By dialing *406#,
any student can access the most affordable call and data service ever on the
campus
