She was
spotted carrying a black Chanel handbag last week and it now seems Kate
Ford has no shortage of designer accessories in her wardrobe.
The
Coronation Street actress, famed for playing superb***h Tracy Barlow on
the ITV soap, was spotted out on Monday morning with yet another Chanel
bag under her arm, this time estimated to be worth an eye-watering
£3,075.
The
star spruced up her low-key outfit with the quilted designer item as
she strolled along the streets of Manchester in the wake of claims there
are tensions brewing due to the huge gap in earnings between the show's
older and younger actors.
Designer chic: Coronation Street star Kate Ford was carrying a £3,075 Chanel bag during her lunch break in Manchester on Monday
Kate was wearing a belted camel-coloured coat over a breton top, which she paired with skinny jeans and cowboy boots.
Meanwhile, her co-star Kym Marsh was seen out with a more purse-friendly quilted bag on her arm.
The actress, who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap, wrapped up warm in a cosy fur coat during her lunch break.
Pay row: The Coronation Street cast
are said to be annoyed at salary discrepancies between new cast members
and long-term soap favourites
She can clearly a-Ford it: Kate's designer accessory added a touch of glamour to her casual ensemble
High street version: Kym Marsh was sporting a similar quilted black bag on Monday
Group outing: Mark Bayliss and Alison King were also seen out and about in Manchester
Last
Thursday, Kate stepped out carrying another very stylish Chanel handbag
during a break from filming scenes for the soap in Manchester.
The
luxury tote, finished off in the fashion house's statement quilted
black leather and double-C logo, is worth a purse-stretching £1,100.
The
36-year-old actress, who was out and about with co-star Terence
Maynard, wore her enviable designer purchase with her favourite coat,
jeans and black ankle boots.
Expensive: Kate Ford finished off her otherwise casual look with a pricey Chanel bag last Thursday too
She also had a secondary black handbag slung over her other arm, clearly relegated thanks to the Chanel piece.
Her outings with the expensive items come as reports emerged the Corrie stars are currently locked in a 'pay dispute'.
An ITV source told The Sun that there are tensions forming due to the huge gap in earnings between the soap opera's older and younger actors.
Chic and cheerful: Kate, who has
portrayed Tracy Barlow for 12 years, looked pleased as she went about
her day with her designer bag on her arm, along with co-star Terence
Maynard
'The
kids are on a pittance compared with the older stars, and do a lot more
episodes,' the source said, adding that there is 'a lot of unhappiness'
on set.
The
source added: 'Bosses don't care because they know there's plenty of
other young kids eager to join. There is a lot of unhappiness.'
'The
show also recently introduced a system to dock the wages of people who
bring the show into disrespect, causing a lot of ill-feeling.'
Getting into character: Michael Le
Vell was seen filming upcoming scenes for Coronation Street on location
in Manchester on Tuesday

Helping hand: Michael and Simon's characters looked nonplussed as they tried to work out what had happened to the kit car
Another
veteran actor on the soap, Michael Le Vell - who recently made his
return to the soap after a five-month hiatus following personal problems
- was pictured filming scenes for the soap on Tuesday as the claims
about the pay dispute were made.
He was joined by co-star Simon Gregson as they shot on location in central Manchester on Tuesday afternoon.
However, it wasn't smooth sailing as their characters appeared to be having a bit of car trouble on the side of a main road.
Meanwhile, pub landlord Steve looked frustrated as his pride and joy appeared to be completely out of service by the roadside.
It all seemed to come to an end when Kevin commandeered a pick-up truck to come to the rescue.
Michael,
49, was suspended from the show in March following accusations that he
had been using cocaine and was asked to seek help for an alcohol
problem.
He
has now been sober for over six months, and Corrie bosses are
determined to keep it that way by not having him act out drinking on
camera, despite having a pint at the Rovers Return pub being a favoured
pastime of his character.
