He's one of
the world's most successful tennis players, so it's no surprise Rafael
Nadal might be open to treating himself to one of the ultimate status
symbols money can buy.
The
28-year-old sporting champ was accompanied by girlfriend Xisca Perello
as he perused the nautical offerings in Cannes, France on Friday.
The
tennis hero, who hails from Spain, looked thrilled as he spent the
afternoon looking around luxury vessel Blue Ice, in the famous French
harbour.
Loved-up: Tennis ace Rafael Nadal
hugged his long-term girlfriend Xisca Perello as they looked around
luxury yacht Blue Ice in Cannes on Friday
Rafael,
who is often seen holidaying aboard yachts in various locations around
the Mediterranean, is thought to be worth millions, after a long and
successful career as a tennis player.
So
it's no surprise the current tennis world number three is keen to
splash some of his hard-earned cash on such a beautiful asset.
Accompanying
him in the beautiful destination was his long-term girlfriend Xisca,
with whom he has been in a relationship for eight years.
The
Business and English student looked stunning during their excursion,
with her long brunette locks flowing freely in the breeze while sporting
a navy vest and trousers.
Checking it out: The couple were given a tour of the high-end vessel
No wonder he's smiling! The two-time Wimbledon champion was having a great day, basking in the sunshine aboard the luxury yacht
Meanwhile, Rafa swapped his usual tennis whites for a jeans and polo shirt combination.
The
beautiful couple looked happy and relaxed, and full of good cheer, as
they laughed while looking around Blue Ice in the glorious sunshine.
They
shared some intimate moments during their high-end shopping trip, too,
with Rafael going in for a hug with his lady - who he once romantically
dubbed 'the woman of my life' - while on board the yacht.
According to the boat's official website, Blue Ice is a 'sporty and elegant motor Yacht', measuring 46m in length.
Its defining feature is the icy blue colouring of the vessel, as well as its 'state of art facilities'.
Blue Ice: A 'sporty and elegant motor yacht' that might soon see the tennis champion at the helm
Cannes you believe it? Spending the day in the glorious sunshine in the South of France, Nadal couldn't hide his smile
Guided tour: The couple - who have been an item for eight years - enjoyed star treatment aboard the yacht
The two-time Wimbledon winner looked as thought he was seriously considering making a purchase as he checked out the yacht.
The
athlete is a big fan of sea-based holidays and, earlier this year -
after crashing out of Wimbledon before making the final - was seen
aboard another yacht while holidaying in Ibiza.
Following
his exit from this year's tennis championships, the Spaniard tweeted
his fans, thanking them for their support during the tournament.
'I want to thank your incredible support, both when things work out and when they don't,' he wrote.
However,
his 2014 tennis woes looked far behind him as he beamed aboard the
yacht, that he may end up commandeering for his next vacation.
Busy day: There were plenty of people to show Rafael and Xisca around Blue Ice
Stunning: With the wind in her hair, Xisca couldn't hide her smile as she walked around the yacht
Idyllic: The affectionate twosome couldn't have picked a nicer day to have a look around Blue Ice
Pensive: The athlete appeared to be deep in thought at one point, perhaps weighing up his options
