She surely has both a personal stylist and a packed wardrobe.
But Cheryl Fernandez-Versini hit a bum note when she wore a red jumpsuit for the X Factor on Sunday.
The
Newcastle-born singer failed the fashion-off with fellow judge Mel B,
who won by default in a bizarre black, sleeveless number.
Fashion-off: Mel looked more stylish - and formal - of the two judges
Her girls: Cheryl walks on to the X Factor stage with her contestants
Cheryl's choice featured a lace-effect top with thin straps, red lipstick and matching shoes.
Adding to the eighties-effect, she accessorised with hoop earrings and a ponytail, not to mention some wrist 'bling'.
Meanwhile, Melanie B's choice was both floor-length and yet short, with a contrasting hemline.
Jumpsuit to it! Cheryl didn't quite get it right on Sunday night's live show
Although it wasn't particularly classy, it was certainly the more statuesque of the two looks.
Cheryl's
fashion fail comes just one day after her and Mel wore near-matching
monochrome styles for the live performance show on Saturday.
Mel wore a white, sleeveless dress by Alexander McQueen with an over-sized bow on her chest.
She
matched the look with silver earrings and simple, co-ordinated
jewellery and tweeted: '1st live xfactor show I had to wear a British
designer dress of course. representing booya did you lot like it??'
Not quite right? Cheryl's choice featured a lace-effect top with thin straps, red lipstick and matching shoes
A little
support: The skinny judge enhanced her chest with some chicken fillets,
which can be seen as she elans forward on the judges' desk
Meanwhile, Cheryl's dress featured some metallic detail on the waist for added couture sensibility.
While Melanie was rocking her new hairstyle, Cheryl stuck with her trusted caramel hair extensions.
Adding
insult to injury, former X Factor contestant Katie Waissel recently
lashed out at Cheryl's comeback on the ITV talent show.
The clash: One problem is that her look clashed with that of her most populist act
The
28-year-old singer - who was taken through to the live shows as part of
Cheryl's 'girls' category in the 2010 series of the show - has made
biting remarks about the popular TV competition and her former mentor in
the most recent issue of new! magazine.
'Simon
Cowell's given her another chance. She should make the most of it. It's
a bit of a sh*t show to be honest and I feel so sorry for all those
contestants up there. I just want to be like "Get off the f***ing stage!
Don't do it!"'
She
added: 'If I could turn back time and not fill out that form, I would
have given every penny in my bank account to do so. I have been
tarnished by something I could never get away from. Ever.'
The Judges: Simon in his trademark, ill-fitting jeans, Cheryl, Mel and a dapper Louis
Her deep-rooted animosity stems from comments Cheryl made about her in her autobiography, Cheryl: My Story.
The
judge revealed she only chose the eccentric blonde - whose relocated to
LA - to go through to the live shows because she thought she'd make
'good TV'.
Cheryl
added that she was more than impressed by another of the auditionees
that year - Cher Lloyd - a revelation that infuriated Katie more, after
reports that Katie thought Cheryl favoured her 'mini-me' Cher.
At
the time, Katie took to Twitter to blast her former mentor, writing:
'@cherylcole I thought you were better than this. Shame I trusted you.
You live and you learn.'
Spousal support: Jean-Bernard, Cheryl's husband, joins her after the show
Loved up: The couple married earlier this year
Home time: The couple walk hand-in-hand as they make their way out of the studios
