Motorola Droid Turbo flexes Snapdragon 805 muscle

The Motorola Droid Turbo passed through another benchmark and this time left scores. The Droid Turbo is powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset – four Krait 450 cores at 2.65GHz, 3GB RAM and Adreno 420 GPU. The phone runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has a 5.2" QHD screen.
The results aren’t stellar, it got 1,068 in the single-core test and 2,929 in the multi-core test. Here's how it stacks up against some of the flagships we've tested.

GeekBench 3

Higher is better
  • HTC One (E8) (S801) 3229
  • Galaxy S5 (S801) 3011
  • Droid Turbo (S805) 2929
  • Galaxy Note 4 (S805) 2925
  • Sony Xperia Z3 2860
  • LG G3 (S801) 2563
The leaked manual provided additional specifications - 5.2" QHD screen, 3,900mAh battery and 21MP camera. The Motorola Droid Turbo will launch on Verizon on October 28, you can watch the countdown here. Hopefully now that Motorola is Lenovo-owned and there will be a GSM, non-US version of the flagship as well.
The Verizon teaser site doesn't offer a good look at the device, so here's a leaked product image instead
