Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dismissed reports of a €100 million bid from Manchester United for Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller. The Bayern CEO is currently in China as the Bavarian outfit continue their Audi Summer Tour, but back in Germany, reports suggest United have launched a mammoth bid for the 25-year-old as their search for a top-class striker continues.
However, Rummenigge has told Kicker that the report of a €100m bid from United bid was a hoax, saying it was "a flying duck over the ocean" - a German phrase.
United have already had success raiding Pep Guardiola's side, snapping up Bastian Schweinsteiger for around £15m.
Muller has spent his entire career at Bayern, scoring 137 goals in 339 games for the first team and B team.
