Arsenal outcast Lukas Podolski is hoping to finalise a deal to join Galatasaray after falling out of favour at the Emirates Stadium.
Unable to get game time under manager Arsene Wenger, the Germany international forward was loaned out to Inter for the second half of last season but endured a difficult spell there which he admits in retrospect was "a mistake".
With a stay in north London unlikely, Gala confirmed their interest in the striker earlier in June and Podolski is enthusiastic about the prospect.
"I would like to play for Galatasaray," the 30-year-old told the Turkish giants' official website. "They have great fans and I have had a huge response from them on social media."
Podolski scored only one goal in his 18 games across all competitions for Inter after joining them in early January.
